Aire Bathhouse NYC (Environment Creation Project)

For this project we were tasked with creating an environment based upon an environment from a film or television show of our choosing. I wanted to find an architecturally interesting scene and one with a unique set of lighting conditions which would challenge my capabilities. I settled on a scene set inside AIRE bathhouse in New York from the film John Wick owing to its interesting blend of classic brick and stonework and modern glasswork and fittings. The prevelance of a large number of reflective surfaces such as glass walls and bodies of water also allowed for me to make excellent use of ray tracing technology to enhance both the environments lighting and reflections to achieve a photorealistic finish.
