Diagon Alley inspired shop (Environment Creation Project)

For this project we were tasked with creating a shop inspired by the fictitious street of Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter franchise, this was my first true environment art brief at university and was a steep learning curve. I choose to focus more on the architectural styles present in the Harry potter universe, which is heavily influenced by Victorian architectural trends, as opposed to focusing on the magical side of the world. This project particularly piqued my interest in persuading the lighting aspect of environmental art further as it provided a good test bed to explore different lighting techniques and effects due to the stylised nature of the brief.  To see more details and a breakdown of my process take a look at the development blog below…
